Destinations International, the world’s largest resource for official destination organizations and convention and visitors bureaus (CVBs), today announced that registration is open for the 2023 CEO Summit.

The event will take place in Greater Victoria, BC, Canada April 3-5, 2023, and is open to CEOs, C-suite and executive-level staff in the travel and tourism industry.

This year’s CEO Summit is themed “Navigating the Complexity,” and exclusively available to Destinations International members and event partners around the world. The focus will be around continuing the journey to navigate and overcome the complexities of the past three years. Attendees will hear from thought leaders in the areas of sustainability, health and wellness, and the future of work.

“We know the complexities and challenges facing many CEOs and destination leadership are unrivaled and relentless,” said Don Welsh, president and CEO of Destinations International. “The sessions at this year’s CEO Summit have been designed to provide up-to-date information, the latest tools and resources and the sharing of peer-to-peer experiences to help maneuver these unsettled times.”

“The whole team at Destination Greater Victoria and myself are delighted to welcome CEO Summit delegates to the 2023 Summit in beautiful Victoria, British Columbia located on the traditional territories of the Lekwungen speaking peoples,” said Paul Nursey, president and CEO of Destination Greater Victoria.

“Recently ranked as the number two small City in the World by Conde Nast Traveler readers’ choice awards, Greater Victoria is a mid-sized city with a global tourism brand. The headquarter hotel, the Fairmont Empress, is a spectacular property steeped in the Canadian hospitality tradition of Canadian Pacific Railway and steamship hotels, located right on the heart of Victoria’s iconic Inner Harbour. Spring is a perfect time to visit, with mild weather, flowers in bloom and fresh seasonal seafood, such as spot prawns, being harvested from the Salish Sea. Destinations International has put together a tremendous program and we look forward to complementing the program with unique, educational and fun activities and experiences.”
