Refreshed label highlights the evolution, depth, and skyrocketing growth of America’s #11-ranked Ultra-Premium California Pinot Noir.

Refreshed label highlights the evolution, depth, and skyrocketing growth of America’s #11-ranked Ultra-Premium California Pinot Noir.

Wente Family Estates, the country’s longest, continuously family-owned and operated winery, is pleased to unveil a fresh new look for its Angels Ink Central Coast wine label. The eye-catching label art has been refreshed to stand apart on shelves even more boldly amid impressive recent category growth of Angels Ink’s Pinot Noir and Rosé.  The 2021 Angels Ink Pinot Noir from California’s Central Coast will mark the first label with the new design, featuring enhanced angel’s wings, brighter gold foil with a dark black background and spot gloss on the flower’s watermark, providing enhanced contrast.

According to IRI Worldwide, Angels Ink currently ranks #11 in dollar sales in the Ultra-Premium Pinot Noir category (California Origin) over 52 weeks ending in December 2022. The label has shown an impressive 135%+ growth in dollar sales year over year.

“Our updated Angels Ink label artwork is a testament to how much this aesthetic has resonated with consumers in recent years.”

Aly Wente, Vice President of Marketing and Customer Experience and Fifth Generation Winegrower for Wente Family Estates, added, “Angels Ink continues to find new growth avenues, especially among millennials, who especially appreciate how the original, bold label design reflects the equally compelling wine inside the bottle.”

Angels Ink was inspired by Aly and the other fifth generation members of the Wente family as a celebration of individual expression and freedom of spirit.

Each Angels Ink label reflects the artful approach of the winemaking that goes into it, while reflecting a modern, edgy aesthetic.

Sourced from premier vineyards across the Central Coast, Angels Ink Pinot Noir is a full-bodied expression of its coastal terroir, with a round, supple texture. It leads with concentrated aromas of ripe red cherry and succulent strawberry jam, accented with a hint of vanilla. The juicy red fruit carries through to the finish, ensuring this well-balanced Pinot Noir pairs effortlessly with duck confit, poached salmon, and grilled portobello mushrooms.

Angels Ink is nationally distributed and widely available in most major markets. For more information, please visit angelsinkwines.com.
