United now offers more flights to San Francisco as well as additional connecting options to more destinations in US, Canada, and Latin America
United Airlines (UAL) announced today that it will increase the frequency of the current daily Hong Kong (HKG)–San Francisco (SFO) service to 12 flights weekly on August 3, 2023, and will later expand the service to 14 flights weekly as a twice-daily service in late October 2023.
The newly expanded service will provide travelers in Hong Kong, the southern part of mainland China, and some Southeast Asian countries, with more flight schedules to San Francisco as well as additional connecting options to more destinations in the mainland U.S., Canada, and Latin America via its hub in San Francisco.
Walter Dias, regional director of Greater China, Korea, and Southeast Asia Sales, said, “United returned to the Hong Kong market just two months ago after a pause of nearly three years, and we are excited to announce that we will be adding more flights between Hong Kong and San Francisco this August. Combined with the new late-evening Hong Kong departure time and early-afternoon San Francisco departure time, our new 12 times-weekly HKG-SFO service will provide our customers in Hong Kong, the southern part of mainland China, and some Southeast Asian countries including Indonesia, Thailand, and Vietnam, with more flight options to San Francisco and one-stop connections to more than 70 destinations in the mainland U.S., Canada, and Latin America via our hub in San Francisco.”
