Tourism in Yucatan reports a good development


Hotel occupancy in Yucatan, Mexico, continues to give positive figures, and the latest monthly report from the state tourism authorities reports an increase of 4.9% compared to the same period last year.

In the category of hotels, one to five stars occupied 59.6%; for the occupancy in category three to five hotels, there was an increase of 6.1% compared to 2022 data, that is, 60.6%.

By specific destinations, in Mérida, in the period from January to April 2023, occupancy was 59.3% in hotels from category one to five stars, signing an increase of 10.5% compared to 2022; For hotels from three to five stars, occupancy was 60.9%, also with an increase over the previous year with occupancy of 50.8%.

According to the monthly report, the hotel occupancy rate in Yucatan was 57.6% in April 2023, 3.5% higher than in 2022.
