JMC seals another premises in Gandhi Nagar

Jammu : On the directions of Ramesh Kumar (IAS) Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation Jammu and under the supervision of Rajesh Sharma (KAS) Joint Commissioner (Administration), the Enforcement staff while acting tough and taking action vigorously against the violations, sealed the premises of Anil Chouhan S/o Sh. Romesh Chouhan at 84 B/B Gandhi Nagar, Jammu who started the work to put the building for commercial use in violation of the land use of the area from residential to commercial one. The sealing has been done under the provisions of section 8 (1) of J&K Control of Building Operation Act, 1988.
Besides this, the team also conducted a drive against the use of polythene carry bags and inspected the various shops and other outlets in the different parts of city. During the inspection the team seized the polythene carry bags which were below 50 Microns and also charged Rs. 10600.00 as compounded fee from the defaulters on spot. The team also requested the people to use the bags made of bio-degradable material to carry their goods / articles.
