Filmmaker Ali Abbas Zafar recently tied the knot to French model Alicia. The couple got married in a private ceremony and the filmmaker shared the happy news through his social media handle. He shared a couple of wedding pictures with his wife Alicia without revealing much details about the wedding or his love life.
In an interview with a daily, the Tiger Zinda Hai director said that he was planning to get married in 2022. However, he moved the date ahead as both his parents had tested positive for COVID-19.
Ali and Alicia met during the filming of Tiger Zinda Hai. He said that he has been pursuing her for two years to marry him but she said yes only last year. Alicia is an Iranian based in France who was born and brought up there. So, for Alicia this shift has not been an easy decision, he said .
Alicia was also part of the group of dancers in a song in Bharat featuring Disha Patani. He said that Alicia is not keen on pursuing acting and appeared in the song for fun. He also said that she is technically sound and is fully equipped to take up direction.
Ali and Alicia got married on January 3 at home in Dehradun.
