On his birth anniversary on January 7, Babil Khan, his eldest son, had posted a series of throwback photos to remember his father. Sutapa Sikdar reveals Irrfan Khan’s death left a deep impact on Babil and Ayaan: ‘Both my sons had anxiety and depression, diagnosed clinically’
Speaking to Bollywood Bubble, Sutapa said, “I have never seen a father like that. He was Babil’s friend, that is why Babil misses him so much. He was so wise. Irrfan would never say ‘Babil, don’t have a girlfriend now,’ or ‘Don’t do this’. He would say do everything but don’t forget your core.”
Sutapa Sikdar explained how Irrfan Khan’s death left a deep impact on both her sons – Babil and Ayaan. “Both my sons had anxiety and depression, diagnosed clinically, after Irrfan left. So they are not girls, they are boys and because they’re boys, I don’t know what to say to them in a certain situation to make them feel good,” she added.
Babil Khan made his debut as an actor in Anvita Dutt’s Qala starring alongside Triptii Dimri. He has Sujoy Ghosh’s next project and YRF’s web series The Railway Men based on Bhopal Gas Tragedy.
