Malta featured for 2nd year on Forbes Luxury Star Awards 2023

This is the second year in a row that Malta was included in the Forbes Travel Guide list of luxury properties around the globe.

Forbes Travel Guide, the only independent, rigorous global rating system for luxury hotels, restaurants and spas, unveiled its 65th prestigious luxury Star Awards Winners for 2023.

The 2023 Forbes Travel Guide lists ten luxury properties in Malta, an archipelago in the Mediterranean, 4 more than in 2022. 

The 4 newly included properties featured in the Forbes 2023 list are AX The Saint John Boutique, Hyatt Regency Malta, The Phoenicia Malta and The Westin Dragonara Resort. The 2023 list features one 5-Star property, the Iniala Harbour House and four 4-Star properties offering high levels of service and quality of facilities including Corinthia Palace Malta, Hyatt Regency Malta, The Phoenicia Malta, The Westin Dragonara Resort.

Five Maltese properties listed in the Recommended category, rated for being excellent properties with good facilities and consistently good service.

They include AX The Saint John Boutique, Malta Marriott Hotel & Spa, Radisson Blu Resort & Spa Golden Sands, Rosselli – AX Privilege, and Kempinski Hotel San Lawrenz, in Gozo.

“The fact that the prestigious Forbes Travel Guide has now featured three more hotels in 2023, now totaling 10 luxury properties, is a clear indication that Malta has gained worldwide recognition as a luxury destination,” said Michelle Buttigieg, Representative North America, Malta Tourism Authority. She added, “with new luxury hotels opening this year, 2023, we hope that the number of luxury properties listed by Forbes in 2024 will be even greater.”
