AE Expeditions Expands Business Development Team

AE Expeditions, part of Aurora Expeditions Group Australia, continues to expand its global team with the appointment on 17 April 2023 of Andrew Tait, as AE’s London based Senior Business Development Manager serving the United Kingdom and Europe.

Andrew Tait comes to AE Expeditions with a strong and respectable background in stakeholder management in the travel industry. As a successful business development manager with specialist knowledge in Asia, he has proven expertise in driving growth in sales in specialist markets in both B2B and B2C settings.

Jos Dewing, Managing Director, EMEA, AE Expeditions, commented, “Andrew is known in the industry for being enthusiastic and passionate about travel, and alongside his excellent personal and presentation skills, I am sure he will be a great asset to the UK and greater Aurora team”.

Reporting to Jos, Andrew will be responsible for initiating and cultivating industry relationships, establishing new partnerships, and identifying opportunities with indirect channels, as well as offering sales training and agency support. Andrew will work closely with Katie Harber, Business Development Manager, Karen Hollands, Sales Support Executive, and the EMEA reservations team to enhance the business and achieve further growth and market share.

Andrew, who joins the business today, has a passion for travel and is a natural explorer; his early travel days took him across the world from the wilderness of New Zealand to the hidden gems of Asia, and along the way he developed a passion for the outdoors and nature.

Andrew commented, “Customer satisfaction and relationship building are of paramount importance to the team at AE Expeditions. Alongside the highly experienced EMEA sales team, I will use my skills and experience in stakeholder management, and my passion for nature and the natural world, to grow our market share in a trustworthy, reliable and solid manner”.

Jos Dewing, Managing Director EMEA said, “For more than 30 years Aurora Expeditions has been driven by a pioneering spirit, and a clear perspective on travelling with a purpose. We warmly welcome Andrew to our UK team and look forward to highlighting the need to travel responsibly, conserving and protecting the fragile oceans of the world and doing what AE Expeditions does best, which is to offer authentic, small ship adventures, in the company of responsible and knowledgeable experts”.
