Finnair Releases New Spoti-fly Playlist

Finnair has released the new and exclusive playlist, “Journey”, on Spotify.

The Nordic carrier has partnered with Finnish music producer and rising star Perttu, to create an immersive, soothing soundscape designed to take customers on a relaxing journey through Nordic skies.

Perttu started out in Finnish heavy-metal bands when he was 14, touring Europe to play at major festivals. He moved to Berlin at 24 to learn how to produce electronic music, working with dance and indie-pop artists who took him deeper into the world of sound. He’s now expanding into composing music for film soundtracks too.

Inspired by the airline’s relaxing boarding music, the new Spotify soundtrack aims to capture the essence of Nordic culture, focusing on a minimalistic sound which creates an atmosphere of space, calm and relaxation.

As Finnair approaches its centenary later this year, the carrier has developed the new atmospheric soundtrack to make customers feel welcome and inspired, whether they are in the air or on the ground.

Music is an essential part of the Finnair experience, and the airline’s creative team developed “Journey” to be a meditative experience for the listener throughout the 45-minute soundscape.

Now all they have to do is kick back, relax and listen to Finnair’s fantastic new Spoti-fly soundtrack.
