More St. Kitts Music Festival Flights on interCaribbean Airways

The St. Kitts Tourism Authority today announced additional interCaribbean Airways service between St. Kitts (SKB) and Barbados (BGI) throughout the week of the St. Kitts Music Festival, offering festival goers additional opportunities to travel to St Kitts.

In addition to interCaribbean Airways’ flights on Friday, Wednesdays and Sundays, the airline has provided additional support on Thursday, 22 June, and Saturday, 24 June, bolstering opportunities for regional travel for one of the Caribbean’s most anticipated music events.

“The 25th Annual St. Kitts Music Festival is gearing up to be one like never before, and we are thrilled that interCaribbean Airways has supplemented its weekly schedule to accommodate for growing airlift demand,” said Honourable Marsha T. Henderson, Minister of Tourism. “Since the initiation of interCaribbean’s presence on the island in February, flights have continued to perform exceptionally well, and we are thrilled to continue fostering this partnership.”

In addition to supplemental flight service, interCaribbean Airways is upgrading the aircraft for its St. Kitts flights from the 30 seater EMB 120 to the 48-seat ATR on a full-time basis.

“The success of the existing interCaribbean Airways flights between St. Kitts and Barbados is an excellent testament to the growing demand for regional travel to St. Kitts,” said Ellison “Tommy” Thompson, CEO of St. Kitts Tourism Authority. “We are thrilled to continue expanding island accessibility alongside interCaribbean Airways and look forward to the opportunities resulting from the new flight capacity.”
