Ghana Receives Tourism Personalities from Nigeria and Seychelles

Ikechi Uko, a Nigerian tourism personality and press guru, met with former Seychelles Tourism Minister Alain St.Ange in Ghana.

Both men were in Accra for the 6th ACCRA WEIZO of 2023 that is organized between the Akwaaba African Travel Market in partnership with the Ghana Tourism Authority. The two gentlemen know each other well and have a mutual respect for one another’s ability in the field of tourism.

In Accra, Alain St.Ange, the Seychelles former Tourism, Civil Aviation, Ports and Marine Minister who now heads his own Saint Ange Tourism Consultancy, who was in Ghana for consultancy contract works, discussed with Uko the coming 6th ACCRA WEIZO of 2023 which will be held on May 26, 2023.

This event is important for the continent of Africa to be seen as a tourism source market, and the two tourism personalities discussed how they can support each other in different tourism projects and consultancies.

“Working together and rallying forces is always positive on the world stage.”

Alain St.Ange added, “Ikechi Uko and I have different strengths which can be beneficial for both of us when resources are pulled together.”

Alain St.Ange is today a respected and much sought after speaker on tourism circuits as well as undertaking consultancies for tourism boards and marketing departments for ministries of tourism. Ikechi Uko on his part is referred to as the Tourism Personality and Press Guru of Nigeria. It is little wonder that uniting forces of these two tourism experts can only bring success to projects they work with.

Accra Weizo is a travel event that seeks to grow seamless travel in West Africa and encourage West Africans to travel within the region. West Africa is the biggest region in Africa with over 400 million people rich in culture and tourist attractions. However, it receives the least number of tourists while West African countries generate the highest number of outbound travelers in Africa.

Over the years, Accra Weizo has become one of the biggest travel events in Ghana. It has stimulated inspiring discussions on how to liberalize movement within the African borders, especially in West Africa, to promote travel across borders.
