Sangiuliano: “We will export our skills”

The Ministry of Culture of the Italian Republic and the Ministry of Culture of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia H.H. Minister Prince Bader bin Abdullah bin Farhan Al Saud signed at Ca’ Farsetti’s venue, an MOU-memorandum of understanding in the sectors of archaeology, conservation, restoration and protection of cultural heritage, the film industry and literature.

The MOU envisages that procedures will be facilitated which will allow experts, public, and private specialized institutions to promote the exchange of information, knowledge, and experience acquired, and launch joint strategic projects in various cultural sectors. Cooperation will develop through the establishment of a working group, and the organization of training and development programs.

“With today’s signing, a negotiating process started in 2019 by my predecessor and launched on the sidelines of the participation in the G20 of which Italy and Saudi Arabia are members, is completed.

“Like other European partners, before us, the Ministry of Culture is equipped with a collaboration tool with the Ministry of Culture of Saudi government ready to develop collaboration in the museum, archaeological and music fields. There is an opportunity for Italy to export its recognized skills in these areas, especially those in management,” said Minister Sangiuliano.
