New Hong Kong to Phuket Flight on Hong Kong Airlines


Celebrations were held at Hong Kong International Airport and Phuket International Airport, to commemorate the official launch of the route.

Hong Kong Airlines celebrated its inaugural flight to Phuket yesterday at both Hong Kong International Airport and Phuket International Airport, marking the successful launch of its third route of the year. The four-times weekly Phuket service strengthens the airline’s presence in Thailand and reaffirms its commitment to expanding the regional markets and offering more choices for travelers.

Celebrations were held at both Hong Kong International Airport and Phuket International Airport, to commemorate the official launch of the route. Hong Kong Airlines President Mr Jeff Sun officiated the ceremony, together with representatives from the Hong Kong Airport Authority, and the Director of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (Hong Kong) Ms Naparat Vudhivad.

Mr Jeff Sun said, “As the largest island in Thailand, Phuket is widely regarded as one of the most enduring holiday hotspots. We are thrilled to add this vacation paradise to our expanding regional network, allowing more connection services and convenient travel options. Hong Kong Airlines aspires to become the airline of choice for both Thai and international travelers seeking to travel between Hong Kong and Thailand. We are working diligently to expedite our network recovery, which will soon consist of over 20 destinations across the Asia Pacific region.”

Hong Kong Airlines is a Chinese airline established in 2006 by the Hainan Airlines, actually controlled by the State-owned Assets Commission of Hainan Province and subsequently the Liaoning Fangda Group. With its main hub at Hong Kong International Airport, it flies to China and across Asia Pacific.
