New Director of Sales & Marketing at InterContinental Dominica

With over a decade of experience in business development, strategic leadership, and consulting within the hospitality industry, Ruiz brings a dynamic, results-driven approach and bilingual expertise to lead the sales and marketing team at the resort.

Ruiz’s journey began in her hometown, where she contributed her expertise to the renowned InterContinental Maracaibo and Crowne Plaza Maruma Maracaibo hotels. Her exceptional accomplishments and the prestige of these establishments presented her with an exciting opportunity to expand her career at the internationally acclaimed Holiday Inn Resort Aruba. There, she skillfully targeted the leisure market on a global scale, solidifying her competence and efficiency.

Recognizing Ruiz’s exceptional skills, IHG entrusted her with representing luxury brands as a Task Force for properties in iconic travel destinations such as InterContinental Cartagena and Intercontinental Puerto Rico. Throughout her professional journey, she has consistently demonstrated her ability to lead highly productive teams, providing them with the necessary tools and fostering an environment for personal growth, which has undoubtedly contributed to the success of the brands.

Ruiz is not only a seasoned executive but also a lifelong learner. After graduating from the University of Zulia in Venezuela, she pursued certifications in Revenue Management, Strategic Marketing, Leadership, and more, continually amplifying her expertise.
