3 Industrial units gutted in fire

Srinagar : Property worth lakhs of rupees was damaged when a fire broke out in three industrial units in an industrial estate in the city outskirts early Friday morning. Official sources said that fire broke out in a three-storied building housing three industrial units at Zainakote industrial estate, about 10 km from here in the city outskirts. However, before the fire tenders could reach the spot, fire spread to entire building.
An official of Fire and Emergency Service (FES) said that the cause of fire in the building housing J S Enterprises, High Synthetic and Agro Production, was not known. He said the loss could be estimated at Rs 50 lakh. However, there was no report of any loss of life or injury in the incident. Police have registered a case and started investigation, sources said. (Agencies)
