Patnitop, Vaishno Devi hills receive fresh snowfall

Jammu : Famous tourist spot Patnitop, Nathatop and the Trikuta Hills of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi received fresh snowfall on Tuesday. An official said that 3 to 4 inches of snow was recorded from Sanji Chat upto Bhawan and the upper reaches in Reasi district. He added that around 20,000 to 25,000 pilgrims are daily visiting to the Shrine to pay obeisance. Meanwhile, chopper service from Katra base camp to Bhawan remained suspended due to dense fog in the hills.
However, Patnitop and Nathatop tourist destinations also witnessed fresh snowfall. The plains of Udhampur, Jammu, Poonch and Rajouri also recorded rainfall thus dipping the temperature.
