However, after the announcement, an Australian journalist questioned the couple’s credibility to announce the nominations. Priyanka had a very classy reply to his doubts.
Priyanka Chopra who is a global star today responded to the journalist by sharing the list of her screen credits including the Oscar nominated The White Tiger. Journalist Peter Ford wrote in a snarky tweet, “No disrespect to these two but I’m not sure their contribution to movies qualifies them to be announcing Oscar nominees.” He also shared a goofy picture of the couple clicked during the announcement .
Responding to him, Priyanka quote tweeted the tweet and wrote, “Would love your thoughts on what qualifies someone. Here are my 60+ film credentials for your adept consideration.” She shared a small clip of her scrolling through the list of her credentials.

Peter Ford describes himself as “the best & most widely heard entertainment reporter in Australia & NZ. Allegedly” in his Twitter bio. He later made his Twitter handle private and protected his tweets after a massive support poured in for Priyanka Chopra and her fans schooled Ford.
