It’s been 15 years since Miley Cyrus made her way to the hearts of the millions of fans around the world. She starred as Miley Cyrus in the Disney channel series Hannah Montana. It continues to be one of the most popular series which later had few movies attached to it.
Penning a heartfelt note to Hannah Montana, Miley Cyrus wrote, “It’s been a while. 15 years to be exact. Since the first time I slid those blonde bangs over my forehead in the best attempt to conceal my identity. Then slipped into a puke pink terry cloth robe and a bedazzled HM over the [heart].”
“In reality there was a time in my life when you held more of my identity in your glove than I did my bare hands,” Cyrus further wrote. “We had an equal exchange in which you provided me a superlative amount of fame in return for the anonymity I could gift to you.”
In 2011, the series came to an end. The episode was titled Wherever I Go in which the character Miley Stewart got a movie offer from Steven Spielberg and Tom Cruise. Recalling the last song she sang, Miley wrote in her letter, “The first verse sings ‘Everything is about to change. A chapter ending but the stories only just begun. A page is turning for everyone.’ And closes on a soaring chorus belting ‘we might be apart but I hope you know you always know you’ll be with me where I go.’ Hannah, I hope you hear me + believe those words are true.”
The series also featured her father Billy Ray Cyrus and actors Emily Osment, Mitchell Musso, and Jason Earl Jones. She sent them heartfelt shoutouts, flowers and letters. She even sent flowers to Corbin Bleu, Joe Jonas, who was a guest star on the series, along with his wife, Game Of Thrones star Sophie Turner.
