Bodies located abroad that issue visas will resume reviewing and provision of all types of visas to foreign citizens heading to China
On its official WeChat page, China’s Foreign Ministry announced today that its Department of Consular Affairs will resume reviewing and provision of visas for foreigners, starting tomorrow.
Chinese Foreign Ministry also confirmed that all not yest expired visas issued before March 28, 2020, will become valid again, starting on March 15.
“Bodies located abroad that issue visas will resume reviewing and provision of all types of visas to foreign citizens heading to China,” the ministry’s WeChat statement said.
The border visa centers will also resume issuing Chinese visas at the border “if corresponding conditions are met.”
According to the statement, the visa-free policy for the Hainan Province and the policy of visa-free entry for cruise liner passengers, as well as visa-free entry to the Guangdong Province for organized groups of foreigners entering from Hong Kong and Macau, and for tourist groups from ASEAN states entering the city of Guilin, will also be restored.
