New Area Executive Chef of Hyatt Centric Beale Street


Billy Boyle has been appointed area executive chef of the Hyatt Centric Beale Street Memphis and Caption by Hyatt Beale Street Memphis. In his new role, Boyle oversees all culinary day-to-day operations, banquets and catering, and overarching food and beverage programs for both hotels.

With more than 33 years of experience, Boyle’s deep love for the culinary field is rooted in his hometown of Memphis, where growing up eating BBQ pork inspired his palate and passion for the epicurean world. Boyle developed his skill set and knowledge by holding various positions across the globe, including serving as executive chef for The Madeline Resort and Spa in Telluride, Marigot Bay Resort and Marina in St. Lucia, The James Royal Palm in Miami Beach and others. His talents also led him to oversee teams in Las Vegas, New York and Los Angeles at various esteemed hotels. Before returning to the Home of the Blues, he held the position of executive chef and research and development team leader for Wonder Foods, Inc. where he led a team of research chefs in transitioning celebrity chef menus into recipes scalable for high volume production.

Touting a diverse background, Chef Boyle brings a well-versed sense of passion and expertise to both hotels’ culinary teams with an emphasis on continued growth for the restaurants and creating memorable experiences for guests.

“I’m truly honored to take on this role as area executive chef for these history-making hotels,” said Chef Boyle. “I’m committed to giving back and making a positive contribution to my hometown community of Memphis. I believe the restaurant business is about celebrating life, and my wish is to share my celebration through my love of food with every guest.”

As area executive chef, Boyle leads Caption’s signature Talk Shop experience with an all-day lounge eatery and cocktail bar, grab-and-go offerings, and outdoor beer garden. Here, he plans to pursue his dedication to keeping a diverse and ongoing seasonal menu creation while supporting local restaurateurs and businesses, which is a core theme for the hotel’s signature lifestyle brand. At the Hyatt Centric, Chef Boyle oversees the signature rooftop bar, Beck & Call, catering for groups and events, and CIMAS Lobby Lounge. CIMAS restaurant is slated to debut a fresh feel and concept later in the year, of which Boyle will have an integral role in orchestrating.
