Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay Reveals New Look

With a birds’ eye view high above the mangroves of Old Tampa Bay, Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay’s all-new weddings, meetings and special events spaces are aptly named after Florida’s iconic native birds. Boasting unobstructed views from the hotel’s 14th floor, Skylark encompasses 3,400 square feet of indoor space, including 1,800 square feet of pre-function space. The venue is further complemented by a 1,400-square-foot outdoor rooftop terrace with sweeping bay and city views. Skylark’s more intimate sister venue, the 1,932-square-foot Starling, also features floor-to-ceiling windows with magnificent water views.

Rounding out the new meeting spaces, the 550-square-foot Sandpiper and 625-square-foot Osprey have been added to the second floor. In total, the property now boasts an impressive 27,000 square feet of indoor meeting space, 5,200 square feet of pre-function space and 5,000 square feet of outdoor event venues.

In addition to the reimagined meetings spaces, the hotel also underwent a full rooms renovation of its Bay View, City View, Suites, and villa-style Casita King and Casita Double room categories, enhancing the aesthetic, design and décor while providing a comfortable and welcoming environment for business and leisure travelers alike.

“Tampa has fast become a sought-after, first-tier meetings and events destination, thanks to our growing culinary scene, bustling nightlife, world-renowned beaches and high-profile cultural and sporting events,” said Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay General Manager Ruth Benjamin. “Listening to our valued meeting and wedding planner partners and responding to the market’s growing demands, the addition of our new multi-million-dollar meeting space has elevated our offerings and positioned the property as the premier choice for high-end meetings and events in Tampa Bay.”

In addition to new pickleball courts, the hotel will soon introduce an upgraded pool and pool bar, adding to its first-in-class offerings and amenities.

Located in the heart of Tampa on 35 acres of prime waterfront real estate, Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay provides convenient access to the region’s top beaches, shopping, nightlife and attractions and is located just minutes from the Tampa International Airport. Among the hotel’s popular dining outlets, the award-winning Oystercatchers has been named by Tampa Bay Times as one of the city’s “25 most iconic restaurants.” The menu offers seasonal, local and sustainable products, featuring signature oysters and hydro-farmed herbs and greens, grown and harvested exclusively for the restaurant.
