Airbus currently employs more than 134,000 people and will hire more than 13,000 people worldwide this year: plans are well underway to fill the remaining positions, and the new hires will be vital to supporting increased production and decarbonization goals.
The company offers thousands of job opportunities in manufacturing, engineering, and businesses supporting Airbus’ long-term goals, such as cybersecurity, software engineering, and new propulsion technologies (e.g., hydrogen, cryogenics, fuel cells).
One-third of the total hires will be graduates. With this in mind, Airbus has just signed a 5-year extension of its partnership with the Georgia Institute of Technology under the Airbus Academic Program (with 15 selected top universities and schools worldwide).
As part of its 2023 strategy, in addition to this program, the company has expanded its academic partnerships with 42 business schools and universities worldwide. These partnerships will foster potential synergies in the aviation industry that will help develop the next generation of industry professionals.
