Tragic accident in Ramnagar, Six killed-24 injured

Jammu : Six passengers were killed and twenty-four others injured after a mini-bus met with an accident in Ramnagar area of Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday, police said. An official said that a matador (registration number JK14A 0273) rolled down at Kawa in Ramnagar today afternoon, resulting in on spot death of six passengers. He said the injured were shifted to District Hospital Udhampur for treatment where from four critically injured passengers were shifted to Military Hospital for specialised treatment. In another accident in Udhampur, At least six passengers were injured when a taxi they were travelling in rammed into a tree in Udhampur district. “A passenger taxi on its way from Himachal Pradesh to Udhampur on Saturday morning rammed into a tree at Paldai Majalta in District Udhampur,” a police spokesman here said.
He said six people were injured and shifted to PHC Majalta from where all referred to Government Medical College and Hospital Jammu. The injured were identified as Suresh Kumar, 48, resident of Findoo, Rakesh Kumar, 25, resident of Seri, Krishan Chand, 45, Raj Kumar, 29, Ranjeet Singh, 30, and Prem Singh, 32, residents of Chamba,Himachal Pradesh.
