Captain Virat Kohli from becoming the first ever Indian captian to guide India to a Test series victory on Australian soil.
Play was called off on the final day and that meant that the four-match Test series ended 2-1 in favour of India. India’s first ever Test series was against Australia in their own backyard and since then, this is the first instance of a men’s team representing India ending a Test series as winners Down Under.
The Indian team did a lap of honour around the Sydney Cricket Ground and Virat Kohli went on to ranking this as the greatest achievement of his career. Cheteshwar Pujara was the man of the match and player of the series.
