Megastar Amitabh Bachchan, who is an avid social media user, clocked 45 million followers on Twitter on January 9, 2021. The 78-year-old star is one of the most popular Bollywood personalities on the platform.
Taking to Twitter, the actor thanked the fans but also shared a throwback picture of himself with his late father, poet Harivansh Rai Bachchan and a young Abhishek Bachchan. It was a moment from the time Harivansh Rai Bachchan got emotional when the actor returned home after the life-threatening Coolie accident. On the photo, it was written, “45 million started with the blessings of Pujya Maa and Pujya Babuji.”

In 1982, Amitabh Bachchan suffered a life-threatening accident on the sets of Manmohan Desai’s Coolie in Bangalore. He got injured while filming an action scene. He was hospitalized and it took months before he fully recovered.
