Icelandair has announced its 2023-2024 winter schedule with a capacity increase of 20-25% between North America and more than 30 destinations in Europe, compared to last winter season.
Due to popular demand, Rome, Barcelona, Raleigh Durham, Baltimore, and Vancouver will increase from seasonal to year-round service.
In addition, six destinations will further increase flight frequency and for the first-time, day flights from New York and Boston have been added to the winter schedule, offering up to 11 weekly non-stop flights from Boston to Reykjavik, and 21 non-stop flights from New York to Reykjavik.

We have been able to extend previously seasonal routes to year-round services and increase frequencies on other routes throughout the network for the winter 23/24 season. As a result, I’m delighted that we have been able to increase Icelandair’s capacity by 20-25%, compared to winter 2022/2023.
We are always looking for further opportunities to optimize our network and connectivity for customers, so we can make even more travel options available to our passengers.
The expansion of frequency and year-round destinations in our North American network will give further flexibility, allowing for greater connectivity and easy transatlantic connections. The year-round daytime flights from Boston and New York also offer convenient departure times, as well as numerous connections around the US with Icelandair’s partnerships with JetBlue and Alaska Airlines.”
The increased capacity and expanded routes, starting October 2023, will give passengers more options when it comes taking a Stopover in Iceland, which allows travelers to experience the wonders of Iceland for up to seven nights at no additional airfare.
