Harsh Varrdhan Kapoor, the actor who will be appearing in a biopic on Olympic gold medallist Abhinav Bindra, has responded to a Twitter user who questioned his involvement in a film that is deemed highly unrealistic.

Recently, a user on Twitter reacted to one of the actor’s tweets and wrote, “Why are you going dramatised and highly unrealistic biopics, especially of a sports personality? They all follow a template which is so predictable. It’s mundane!” To this Harsh Varrdhan tweeted back, “If you’ve seen any of my films then you’d know that the Bindra film won’t be like any Bollywood biopic that’s been done previously his story doesn’t lend itself to a dramatised unrealistic piece quite the opposite actually.”

Harsh Varrdhan often shares pictures on the gram showing the preparations going on. He had shared pictures where he is reading more about the Olympic Gold Medalist and also spent time with the family to understand the character closely and in-depth. He had also shared a picture of hi practising shooting. Seems like the actor is leaving no stone unturned to fit into the mould of a real-life character. With glimpses of his dedication, we can’t wait to see how the film falls in place.

Earlier, Harsh Varrdhan had discussed his plan to release the film in 2024. ETimes had quoted him saying, “This year, we will shoot and edit the film. It should be out next year. It will be my first theatrical film after six years. My last release was Bhavesh Joshi Superhero in 2018. I want the Abhinav Bindra biopic to be a theatrical. I am very ambitious, and while films like Ray and Thar, which I have been a part of, are unique pieces (OTT releases), I believe that just because your films are not conventional, it doesn’t mean that they can’t make money. I refuse to believe that. I want to make a difference and do something about it. I feel this film will be an original piece of work and I have faith that if we end up executing what we have in our mind and heart, people will love it.”
