More JetBlue Flights Coming to BGI This Fall

US travelers from Boston and New York are expected to benefit from an increased airlift between the 2 destinations.

Barbados continues to demonstrate that it is a destination of choice for many US travelers as US-based airline JetBlue increases airlift to the island once again. Starting November 1, 2023, JetBlue will introduce a 2nd weekly flight from Boston Logan International Airport. This new flight option will run on Wednesdays, joining the existing Saturday service from Boston.

Similarly, JetBlue will continue to offer its second daily flight from JFK to BGI, through to February 2024, giving New York visitors even more options to visit the island.

“We are excited about the prospect of the continued double daily departures from JFK,” stated Eusi Skeete, US Director, Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc. (BTMI)]. “This increased capacity has the potential to add significant capacity out of the Tri-State area in what promises the busy winter season.”

“We are happy to see that our overall growth strategy for the New England area has been paying off, as indicated by the addition of this brand-new midweek fight out of Boston.”

Skeete added, “This increase in capacity is by no means a small feat, which is indicative both of the effectiveness of our efforts as well as JetBlue’s commitment to Barbados.”

“Our strong collaborative approach with JetBlue has been integral to the results we are now seeing, and we couldn’t be happier to continue to build on this longstanding partnership,” stated Skeete.

The additional daily flight from JFK comes just in time for travelers to book their flights for Barbados’ annual summer festival Crop Over, while the flight out of Boston is expected to be very beneficial for travelers hoping to escape the cold this winter.
