Jammu : Government of Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday ordered restructuring of number of guests invited in the marriage functions, engagement parties and other parties to avoid wastage of food during the functions. Government has also restricted number of dishes offered in these functions. CAPD Minister Zulfikar Ali announced this in a Press Conference here today. He said a time of 40 days grace period has been decided by the Government for its implementation and it will be enforced from April 1st. Concerned DCs will look after its implementation and will come with another legislation to ensure punishments for the violators who don’t follow the government orders. “No one will be excused, whether it is buearucrat or politician,” Minister said. He said one can invite only 500 guests for daughter’s marriage and 400 for son’s marriage. He said for ring ceremonies and other social functions people can only invite 100 guests.
